The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted industries around the world. As conversations continue to develop, the Stonerise Construction team has been taking precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of our clients, trade partners, and employees. Take a closer look at Stonerise Construction’s response to COVID-19 below.
Update on our Projects
Last month, two out of the four of our projects were deemed non-essential by the Ontario government and had to be shut down. This closure left us with the ability to continue work on two residential towers in The Barrel Yards development, Arrow and Tower I. There have been no issues with receiving materials from our sub-trades, a complication that would normally slow down progress on-site, and each day we are moving closer to completion.
Health & Safety is a Priority On-Site
In an effort to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, enhanced health screening measures have been implemented at designated entry points for anyone entering our work locations. We have hired a sanitation company to sanitize our sites multiple times a day, and we have scheduled work to ensure no one is on the same floor, or taking the same set of stairs at once. Anyone accessing our sites, including trades, suppliers, union reps and Stonerise employees, are required to wear masks at all times, and if they are unable to follow these rules, they will be removed from the site.
Stonerise Construction is Working From Home
We are mindful of keeping all of our employees safe, whether that be on-site or in the office. In order to practice social distancing effectively, our office staff are all working from home and able to complete regular work.
As our company maintains the implementation of COVID-19 health screening measures and self-isolation requirements, we will continue to monitor the rapidly evolving situation and adhere to the Government of Canada’s health and safety guidelines. Ensuring our community’s health and safety as we overcome this global crisis together is our top priority! Stay safe and healthy everyone.
